I’m a 24-year-old post-grad flexing his writing muscles. Choosing a craft over a career often dooms one to a hardscrabble existence. These stories are born out of the dissonance between my desire to write and my inability to make any money doing so. Thus I have to find alternative ways to survive capitalism. This summer I’m trying out wildland firefighting.
Often the stories posted here are weeks or months old. Sometimes it’s a while before I’m able to sit down with my laptop and work through my stories. Consider this blog a serialized account of the recent past.
Notable inspirations include Charles Bukowski, Jack Kerouac, Bret Easton Ellis, and David Foster Wallace.
